Sanity!

Hello Family and Friends,
Just taking a moment to myself for a little sanity. Nick has been in and out of Utah for the past 3 weeks for work that I am going bonkers with my kids, oh I love em to peices, but they can stretch your last nerve. Emma is selling girls scout cookies, wow what a big project it mostly is for me not her. But the money from the sales will benefit her troop and help toward the cost of the big camping trip this summer! Emma also has a date with her dad next month for the Daddy Daughter Valentine Dance on the 13th of Feb. It will be so much for them.
It's finally gotten a little warmer here, coldest its been in 6 years. Finally nice to take the kiddies to the park today, Rick got to play with his friend Tyler. So nice to be outside.
I've been training hard for a half marathon in April in Nashville, wish me luck ya'll! I'm still at Old Navy, just as a back up, so I'm lucky to work 5 hours a week, which I don't mind cuz I still get me great discount! yeah!
A big SHOUT OUT to my little nephew Dominik who turns the big 3 Tomorrow! Happy Birthday! I love you all, I need to go update my facebook account, its long overdue!

Happy New Year 2009

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Whitney's. Lots have happened this last month and need to catch up the blog. 2008 was a busy year for our family. The Lord has truly blessed our family this past year. We flew to Utah on the 16th and stayed until Christmas. We didn't get out to see everyone, with half of Nick's family with the flu (thank heaven none of us got sick) and the weather outside was frightful for driving conditions, we weren't able to make it out to see everyone. Grandma cried when she picked us up from the airport, she didn't even hug her own daughter, went straight for the grandkids! She missed us a lot. But we enjoyed spending what time we could with family and friends.
Emma loved the snow, she went tubing with her uncles and had so much fun! We went to the Fun park and Emma took her friend Kiya and won lots of arcade tickets and prizes. We went bowling, shopping, we stopped and had a Brazilian dinner with our friends the Fish family. Great food. It was great for Nick to work on his Portuguese, and had FHE with them as well. We spent time with Nick's Dad and Mom.
We were worried that we wouldn't make it on our flight, lots of storms coming through, thought our flight would be cancelled or delayed. But we got lucky and we were able to fly out on time in between snow storms. But in the end we were ready to be home! Its a lot warmer here in Tennessee. Here are some pics which are past due.

Emma and Grandma! She's rockin pj's from grandma. Grandma gets all the kids pj's to open Christmas eve so they can wear them Christmas morning. Just keeping up the tradition her mother started 25 years or so ago.

Rick got a stuffed monkey from his uncle Brandon and he loves it! He's also rockin the new pj's grandma got him.

Ho Ho Ho! Went to see Santa. Rick did very well with Santa. Emma was upset because she wanted a car for Christmas (the electric ride in one) which she didn't get, obvious reasons why, and so she was a little upset by it. But Santa promised her that when her family gets into a house then she will get one.

Rick LOVED the snow, couldn't get enough of it. He built a snowman with daddy in grandmas front yard (the back has dogs, need I say more) not the cleanest snowman with all the pine needles, but they had fun. and a little friendly snowball fight between me, Nick, and Brandon was fight for your life fun!

Reindeer at the Tanner Family Christmas Party! It was a close race for Nick, Jay, Uncle Dan and Grandpa. Dan took home the prize for filling his pantie hose first with balloons and wore it atop his head! Manly! But such a riot to watch! I'll soon have it downloaded to YouTube!

OMG! its Gabriel from High School Musical!

Me and Emma went to the Radio City Christmas Spectacular featuring the Radio City Rockets! Grand Ol Opry Dec 12th 2008. She loved the show, and we got to meet a couple of the rockets. Gotta love those outfits!

Happy New Year 2009!

We went to a party at the Lori Stucki's Home. Had so much fun, haven't been out for new years eve in years! Got a babysitter and got home at 2 am!

Karaoke never sounded good. But I was amazed with Nick, he never does this and we had a lot of fun playing all kinds of games and all you can eat buffet!
